Level 1.0 — «Groups and Stability»
(Basic level of training)

Objective: to practice the tab, develop the skills of “stabilizing” the sniper complex for shooting and long-term observation from a prone position.

Conduct:
– Instruction
– Clearance
– Target holding
– Weapon sighting
– 100 m group
– 300 m group

Standards:
– Holding (short-term): Time — 3 minutes, holding on target — 1 MOA
– 100 m and 300 m groups: 1 MOA — satisfactory, 3/4 MOA — good, 1/2 MOA — excellent

Level 2.0 — «Sniper pair work»
(Special sniper training)

Goal: “combat coordination” of the sniper pair, identification and confirmation of the target, commands during the pair work.

Conduct:
– Instruction
– Pair work
– Target designation, confirmation and fire adjustment
– Fire transfer
– Tactical shooting
Distance: 100-600 m

Standards:
BC: 3 / Number of targets: 2 / Time: 30 sec. (with target detection and confirmation)

Time: 5 hours

Level 3.0 — «Working with the wind»
(Special sniper training)

Objective: to learn the principles of working with the wind, determining the wind using a weather station and without auxiliary means, setting up ballistic calculators and compiling tables for correction.

Conduct:
– Instruction
– Determination of wind strength and direction
– Calculation of adjustments

Distances:
– For .308 win — 800-1300 m
– For .338 LM — 1200-2000 m

Standards:
– For .308 win: 800 m — satisfactory, 900 m — good, 1000 m — excellent
– For .338 LM: 1200 m — satisfactory, 1400 m — good, 1600 m — excellent
(Only hits with subsequent confirmation are counted.)

Level 4.0 — «Special training»
(Professional level of training)

Goal: selection and optimization of equipment for combat work. Practice shooting from special positions and in special conditions.

– Shooting from a tripod
Distance:
– For .308 win — 400-1000 m
– For .338 LM — 1200-1600 m
– Shooting through a “ballistic window” — window size 2.5 from .cal
Distance: 800-1000 m
– Sniper volley practice
Distance: 400 m
