Tactical training

Tactical training of cadet snipers is an important and integral part of the preparation and training of scout snipers, which should be practiced and developed regularly.

On tactical training days the following disciplines are practiced:

1. Measuring distances

Objective: To practice the skill of determining distances using observation tools and the naked eye.

Conducting:
1. Briefing.
2. Measuring the dimensions of moving and stationary targets.
3. Measuring 10 distances from 100 m to 1000 m: with the naked eye, binoculars, using sniper optics.

Standard:
Time: 2 minutes.
Measurement and calculation of distance: eye, binoculars, optics.
Error: 15% / 10% / 7%.

Time of the event: 1 hour 30 minutes.

2. Conducting surveillance and detection

Goal: To practice observation and recording skills. To train vision and attention to changes in natural and urban areas.

Conducting:
1. Briefing.
2. Sketching the terrain and drawing up a fire map.
3. Making changes to the terrain, camouflaging objects and equipment.
4. Conducting detection and recording.

Standard:
Detection of 70% of hidden changes and camouflaged objects.

3. Camouflage and covert movement.

Objective: Practicing camouflage and covert movement skills in various terrain conditions in the frontal and aerial observation zone. Selecting and preparing a sniper position.

Conducting:
1. Briefing “Camouflage”.
2. Preparing and refining the personal camouflage of cadets depending on the terrain.
3. Moving in the observation sector, identifying a target, occupying and camouflaging a sniper position.

Standard:
Remain undetected while moving, taking up and camouflaging a position, as well as after firing a shot – frontally and from the air (including thermal imaging surveillance equipment).

Time: 3 hours.

Cost of the course “Tactical Training” – 1200 UAH/day

There is possibility of accommodation in the center
(during the course in Kiev)
Cost of accommodation – 400 UAH/person per day.
